About Cultural Centers of Lincoln
The Cultural Centers of Lincoln is not organized for profit but is organized for
charitable, educational, and cultural purposes. The Cultural Centers of Lincoln
serves as a model of multicultural collaboration to develop a public dialogue that
will increase understanding of the value of diversity for Lincoln/Lancaster County
and all Nebraska communities.
While each community cultural center represents a distinct constituency, they share
many characteristics, values, and goals. The Cultural Centers of Lincoln operates
to support the individual centers, while building upon their strengths in a
collaborative manner to produce community outcomes centered on diversity,
social justice, and cultural competency. The centers began meeting on a regular
basis in 1999 where Asian Community and Cultural Center, El Centro De Las
Americas, Malone Community Center and Indian Center as Cultural Centers Coalition.
The Good Neighbor Community Center and Ponca Tribe of Nebraska joined the
Cultural Centers Coalition a little after 2010 and in 2020 the Cultural Centers
Coalition became Cultural Centers of Lincoln.
Asian Community and Cultural Center
Founded in 1992, the Asian Community & Cultural Center supports and
empowers all refugees and immigrants through programs and services
and advances the sharing of Asian culture and other cultural heritages of
our clients with the community at large.
El Centro De Las Americas
Originally known as the Hispanic Community Center, was founded in 1982.
We have provided services in area of education, family support, youth
empowerment, health, and resource navigation. Visit our site for more.
Good Neighbor Community Center
Founded in 1973, our mission is ‘Welcoming Neighbors, Supporting Stability.’
GNCC provides basic and emergency needs to those in need in Lincoln and

Indian Center
Founded in 1969, our mission is to provide value in the Native American
community by creating and obtaining programs that empower self-sufficiency
and positive quality of life standards in individuals and families. Visit our site for

Malone Center
Founded in 1955, our mission is to create unity and prosperity throughout
Lincoln while honoring our African American heritage. Visit our site for more.
Ponca Tribe of Nebraska
The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska operates within a designated service area
covering fifteen counties in Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa. With a history
that goes way before 1200, Ponca tribe provides services in areas of health,

Asian Community and Cultural Center - Immigrants in Lincoln and
surrounding areas will have access to resources and support they need to
lead better lives.
Good Neighbor Community Center - Empower individuals and families with
positive, life-changing skills while meeting basic, social, educational and
physical needs and providing culturally sensitive services.
The El Centro de las Américas will enhance its local, regional, and state
reputation through planning, promoting, marketing, and conducting services
and activities that will give Latinos an equal opportunity in being successful
and productive individuals in this society.

OUR MISSION STATEMENTS
Ponca Tribe of Nebraska - in order to restore, preserve and protect all rights
aboriginally held by our people and their descendants, promote peace,
prosperity, happiness, and the general welfare of the members of our Tribe
and our posterity, to exercise home rule, to assert our inherent sovereignty,
to protect our right of self-government, to conserve custom, to improve our
social order, to protect our rights as individuals, to promote our economic
welfare, to promote domestic tranquility, to promote business enterprises
both cooperative and individual, to promote educational opportunities for all
Ponca people, to consolidate our land holdings by purchase, exchange,
transfer, gift, or otherwise, do ordain and establish this Constitution in
accordance with our inherent sovereignty, and all previous aboriginal rights
